The Session Coach Course
Who is eligible?
Any UK citizen (aged 15 or over), whether an archer or not, is eligible to apply to train as a Session Coach.
Who is it aimed at?
The course is primarily aimed at competent archers who want to help others. The majority want simply to deliver the best beginners’ courses they can. Others see Session Coach as the first step on the coaching ladder. Whichever way you see this, CWAA will support you to the best of their ability.
What does it involve?
The course is 3 full days of lessons, and one day of assessment. In between the candidate will need to practice in their club, often under the supervision of their mentor.
How much does it cost?
The course fee is around £250, which covers everything you need (except food & travel!) This can normally be be offset by bursaries that are available for these courses. Below are examples (for Worcestershire - other counties will differ):

-
Worcestershire affiliated archers on one of our courses are partially funded (subject to T&Cs, see guidance notes)
-
Worcestershire archers on a non-Worcestershire course: £50
-
West Midlands Archery bursary: £50
