County of Worcester Archery Association (CWAA)
Summer Trophy 2024
Objective:
· To increase the number of Archers within the County of all levels attending Open Tournaments hosted by County Clubs.
· To introduce a competition in which archers within a club and all archers within the County may participate.
Rules:
1. The competition will be open to clubs affiliated to County of Worcester AA.
2. A team shall consist of 5 archers. The minimum number to constitute a team shall be 3 archers.
3. Juniors are to be eligible for the junior bonus points if shooting the correct round for their age or if shooting the adult round.
4. Senior archers shall only be eligible for the team if shooting the senior round.
5. The competition is based upon handicap adjusted results.
6. There shall be six rounds of the competition. The scores from 5 of the qualifying tournaments shall count.

No planned competitions for Droitwich, Redditch and Bromsgrove, Saints and Sinners, Worcester Bowmen and UOW at this time. |
8. All participating clubs shall appoint a co-ordinator to encourage club members to attend the relevant shoots, be responsible for returning the results and receive current positions so that club members may be kept informed.
9. The Trophy will be awarded at the CWAA AGM.
10. Points scoring shall be as follows:
a) The winning team shall be awarded 10 points, the second team 9 points, the third team 8 points and so on.
§ Club teams will consist of the top 5 handicap adjusted scores (any discipline). Current handicaps (as of the date of the shoot) must be submitted on the team score sheet.
§ Juniors are eligible for the team regardless of the round shot.
b) Bonus points will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in Men, Women, Junior Men and Junior women in Recurve, Compound, Longbow and Barebow sections where CWAA archers are placed.
§ The bonus points are 1st place = 3 points, 2nd place = 2 points, 3rd place = 1 point.
11. The Club with the most points once all competitions have been shot will be declared the winner.
12. In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the trophy will be awarded to the club scoring the most points in the handicap adjusted sections.
If still a tie the trophy will be shared.
